The latest marketing buzz is Social Media. Will having a Facebook page really improve your business? We think so ….
- Build Loyalty & Relationships – Facebook is a platform where people share their likes, interests and activities. Having a business page allows you to connect with current or potential customers by sharing news, photos and videos. When someone visits or “likes” your page, they are showing they want a relationship with your company. With a network of more than 900 million monthly users, 525 million visit the site daily. These are the people who have the potential to create word-of-mouth referrals.
- Awareness and Word of Mouth – As you make new connections (prospects) and continue to strengthen relationships (customers), just by having a presence on Facebook you are creating awareness free of charge. Every user’s actions are recorded and possibly published on the news feed for all to see. This could reach hundreds, even thousands of your connections friends. Each post is an opportunity to get your company/brand in front of new people.
- Increase Traffic & Sales – This platform allows people to share products and services they like with their Facebook friends. This is a strong driver of traffic to your page. There is no better endorsement than the proof that your friend bought it, used it, visited or liked it. You can also drive more traffic to your website with links on your page and applications such as Foursquare, where customers check in when they physically visit your store/facility.
- Gather Valuable Information – Facebook Insights helps you learn how customers interact with your page/posts. It is a free analytics tool built into Facebook admin to help you better understand your fan base, demographics and what they are interested in. This way you can create more of what works.
- Develop New Products & Ideas – Everyone has an opinion right? Whether you want to hear it or not. Why not use it to your advantage?! Your customers can be your greatest supports, why not use them to help generate new ideas. Do a survey or solicit feedback. You may discover some great ideas and at the same time show your customers you value them and what they have to say.
Only 53% of small businesses are using Social Media. 88% think exposure is the biggest benefit.
