Washington Mills, a leading manufacturer of abrasive grains and fused minerals, is the only supplier of UAMA approved standard sands. These standard sand grains are designed to test the performance and consistency of sieves used for measuring the particle size of abrasive grain.  Washington Mills provides standard sands in accordance with ANSI B74.12-2001 by using master sieves that have been authorized by UAMA for the creation of standard sands.  There are 28 grit sizes available from 4-325 mesh.
