Fitz Machine Achieves ITAR Registration

Fitz Machine is pleased to announce that they are now ITAR registered. ITAR (International Trade In Arms Regulations) is a program directed by the U.S. State Department designed to control both the import and export of U.S. defense and military related articles and information. Fitz Machine can fully support military and defense-related projects in the United States.

In order for a company to become ITAR compliant, there are many requirements that they must follow. The company must register with the U.S. State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls; appoint a company official who will ensure that all personnel follow ITAR compliance rules; train this official and others to keep up with ITAR compliance procedures; make sure the company’s policies and procedures are always in line with ITAR compliance; undertake education initiatives to prevent leaks of sensitive data; and obtain the appropriate licenses needed to cover exports of defense articles.

They understand the importance of keeping current on industry practices and maintaining industry certifications.
